About the Role
Our client, a cleaning and personal care products manufacturing company, is seeking experienced Sales Representatives (Modern Trade) to drive growth and customer acquisition across major cities in Nigeria. This role requires performing individuals with knowledge of the modern trade landscape in their assigned location, a strong track record in FMCG sales, and the ability to open, nurture, and grow key customer accounts in modern trade channels.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive sales of the company’s cleaning and personal care products within Modern Trade outlets (e.g., supermarkets, retail chains, hypermarkets) in the assigned location
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Achieve assigned sales targets, growth objectives, and key performance indicators
• Execute retail activation plans, product placement, and promotions in stores
• Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights
• Submit accurate and timely sales reports, order documentation, and customer records
• Coordinate with internal teams on order fulfillment, inventory, and customer service
Requirements & Skills
• Minimum of HND/B.Sc in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields
• 1-2 years experience in modern trade sales within the FMCG sector
• Strong knowledge of customer base in the relevant city (Benin, Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt)
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills
• Ability to bring in established customer relationships and convert leads into regular orders
• Good reporting and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently

• Must be currently residing in the location applied for
• Should have an existing portfolio of clients in modern trade within the city
