Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Retail Store Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a children’s clothing store in Ogudu, Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising retail and wholesale activities, coordinating logistics, managing inventory, leading the sales team, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role requires a people-oriented, detail-focused, and results-driven individual with a strong understanding of retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day retail operations including sales, staff scheduling, and floor coordination
• Manage outbound logistics and ensure timely delivery to customers and resellers
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels; flag low stock and manage reorders
• Coordinate with suppliers on restocks, deliveries, and supply-related issues
• Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, organization, and customer appeal
• Lead and supervise store staff — from training and motivation to discipline
• Handle customer service and escalate/resolves complaints promptly
• Maintain detailed records of stock, deliveries, sales, and staff attendance
• Collaborate with the Managing Director to implement sales and retention strategies
Requirements:
• OND/HND/BSc in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing a retail/wholesale store (fashion or children’s wear preferred)
• Solid knowledge of inventory control, retail sales, and customer service
• Strong multitasking and organizational ability
• Proficient in POS systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools (e.g. WhatsApp Business, Google Sheets)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Must be dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented
